SELECTED is a two-day event involving artists, creative minds and designers from the creative industries. The two days will include high-level conferences and provide a space for reflection on different design and creativity disciplines.

SELECTED aims to gather and share visual inspiration, and to support and activate a sense of community between creatives, and to share current design trends for those interested in the cultural and industrial scene.

Some of the disciplines that will be covered this year are art, graphic design, editorial design, product design, corporate identity, teaching, illustration, media and agencies, video and animation, packaging, branding, etc.

Also artists, designers and creatives from all over the world have been able to present their best work during the call for entries, open from February to May, and have become part of the SELECTED Bilbao Bizkaia Creative Community, which already includes almost 2,500 projects. During the event, diplomas will be awarded to the 22 selected works, and the Stone&Wood award will be given to the best proposals in the 'Professional' and 'New talent' categories.

Also, a book created exclusively for the event will be presented during the festival, containing work by this year’s guests, by those selected from Selected 2020, and the work of professionals invited to participate in the book, that stand out worldwide. This year the book reflects on how art and design can shape reality and dream of a better world: a sustainable world.

This year,  a new online platform has been created called the 'Video&Book Platform', providing exclusive video content. The platform includes the participation of the designers and artists in the book, and those registering will be able to receive the Selected 2020 book at home.
