WORKSHOP: FROM DESIGN TO PHYSICAL OBJECT VIA DIGITAL CNC MANUFACTURING
Prototype your design/product using CNC
Digital manufacturing enables large-format versions of digital designs to be produced, in this case, using a Numerical Control (CNC) milling machine.
Within the context of the Bilbao Bizkaia Design Week, we would like to introduce artists, designers, architects and creators to this tool for prototyping new objects/products. The aim is to move from design to physical object, and for you to be able to make it yourself using our CNC machine.
Design and the role of the designer are evolving and adapting to a new digital world. In this context, a new type of creator is emerging who questions how consumer goods are manufactured and how consumers relate to their products. Fab Lab Bilbao, Espacio Open's digital creation and manufacturing centre, will help you understand how to turn your designs into physical objects with 3D and CNC design tools.
Discover the potential of the Fab Lab to turn your shapes into objects using different tools. Include digital in your tool kit, mix it with unlikely things. Do It Yourself. Do It Together. Registration is open.
